Call of Duty 5 Confirmed For Release Before April 2009

Washington (dbTechno) - Activision has come out and stated that the next entry into the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty 5, will be released on all major platforms, including the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PS2 before April 2009.
Activision stated that the game will release during the 2009 fiscal year, meaning it will be out before the end of March 2009.
Call of Duty 5 will bring the game back to World War II, returning to the conflict where past Call of Duty games were set in.
There is no word as to who is handling development of the new game. It will most likely be either Treyarch or Infinity Ward.
They hope to build on the success of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which won game of the year for 2007 from many gaming publications.
