May 9, 2008
Boston (dbTechno) - Pandemic Studios, the same developer responsible for the Star Wars: Battlefront series is set to bring that flair of entertainment to the Lord of the Rings universe in Lord of the Rings: Conquest on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
Pandemic Studios is hard at work on LOTR: Conquest, a game which will be sent in the Tolkien universe.
It is being considered basically as a follow-up or extension to the Battlefront franchise.
The game will allow players to go back into the stories and relive a majority of the battles, with characters such as Gandalf, Balrog, and others.
The game will allow for battles consisting of 150 characters on-screen at once, with 16-player online battles.
Four-player splitscreen is also going to be included.
Pandemic is hoping to release it around November 2008, this Fall.
