Retailers Reveal God of War III Release Date On PS3
May 12, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Though it has not been confirmed in any way by Sony themselves, retailers are all in agreement on the release date of God of War III on the Sony PS3, stating it will arrive next March.
GameStop and Amazon have both begun to take pre-orders for the highly-anticipated God of War III, which has been confirmed as a 2009 release from Sony.
Many were hoping the game would be ready for this holiday shopping season, but that has been confirmed to not be a reality.
The other rumored release date was Chrismtas 2009, which makes this release date seem ideal.
The date in agreement by retailers is March 2, 2009 and will come with a price tag of $59.99.
This is yet to be confirmed by Sony, but more information will likely be revealed at E3 this year.

Well, it makes sense to push it back from an economic (if not developemental) point. Given the amount of games, both exclusive and non-exclusive to the PS3 that are arriving between now and December, GoWIII would have alot of other games to compete with…or, alot of other games would have GoWIII to compete with. Either way, pushing it into March makes certain the game is finished, and has a fairly quiet launch window, as well. Of course, I’ll be picking it up, no matter what else is coming out then, but heh, not everyone has the amount of expendable income that others do.
