It seems Indiana Jones won’t be the only one going through caves this year, as Pitfall: The Big Adventure is well into development.

Activision stated that the new Pitfall game, which will be the first in the franchise in quite some time, will include many classic gameplay elements.

Some elements talked about in the press release include reptile dodging, swinging on vines, puzzle solving, and more.

There will be over 60 levels in total in the new Pitfall on the Wii, which will span from caves to glacial mountains.

The game is being developed by Edge of Reality, with its president Binu Philip stating “Wii is a natural and perfect fit for a Pitfall game, and it’s been fantastic to revolutionize this class franchise through the application of the innovative Wii game mechanics.”

“It’s a completely new experience for the gamer.”
