Analyst Predicts Hardware Sales Boost Thanks To Wii Fit
May 19, 2008
Boston (dbTechno) - Nintendo is set to launch Wii Fit in the U S. and with that, one analyst believes that hardware sales will see quite an increase.
Kaufman Bros. analyst Todd Mitchell has come out and stated that Wii Fit is likely to boost hardware sales quite a bit once it launches.
Apparently he feels that the exercise-game will be quite a system-mover for Nintendo.
Mitchell has predicted that Wii Fit’s release will mark a 100% increase in hardware sales in May.
Software sales will also likely see a major increase as well, with Mitchell predicting somewhere in the range of a 160% overall increase in software sales.
This will build off of a great month that the gaming industry had back in April with the launch of huge titles such as Mario Kart Wii as well as the juggernaut, Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto IV.
