Nintendo Says Wii Owners Are Mostly Hardcore Gamers

New York (dbTechno) - Nintendo of America has come out and stated at the Electronic Gaming Summit that the majority of Wii owners are hardcore gamers.
The announcement came from the executive vice president of sales and marketing at Nintendo of America, Cammie Dunaway
.
Dunaway stated that the average Wii gamer is a hardcore gamer, with 79% of Wii gamers being males who are 18-years and older.
They also have an average income of $50,000 or more annually.
Beyond the males, 45% of others who play Wii in their house are female, with 38% of them being 25-years or older.
Nintendo stated that out of these “hardcore” gamers, only 32% play five hours or more each week.
The majority, nearly 70%, play around 2 hours each week.
