PS3 In-Game XMB Coming This June With Firmware Update
May 30, 2008
Boston (dbTechno) - According to several reports, the in-game XMB may finally be ready to release on the Sony PS3 with the PS3 Firmware Update 2.40.
The PS3 Firmware Update 2.40 is being seen as the next big update for the Sony PS3 with plenty of new features being released with it.
The biggest new feature of all though is the in-game XMB which will allow for custom soundtracks, the ability to chat with friends in-game, and much more.
It appears that those who have been waiting for the PS3 in-game XMB may not have to wait much longer.
We must stress that this is still only a rumor, as nothing has been confirmed. Reports state though that it is coming and very soon.

According to several (other) reports and I cannot say which ones - the next big update is actually 3.0 with in game XMB being released in September along with some other “very” big system modification including ‘reheating dinners’ and ‘making a cheese and ham toastie’.
Seriously where do you get your info from - or are you just making his stuff up.
