Nintendo Goes After DS Piracy, Sues 5 Firms In Japan

Washington (dbTechno) - Nintendo is on the offensive as they try to take down DS piracy.
Nintendo has filed a lawsuit against 5 Japanese firms as they try to stop importers from selling equipment allowing DS owners to play illegal games.
Reuters is reporting that the lawsuit against the 5 Japanese firms is for “importing and selling equipment that enables illegal game programs to be played on Nintendo’s popular DS portable video game player.”
Nintendo is being supported by several developers in this push to fight DS piracy, and has filed the lawsuit along with 54 other Japanese developers.
