It is always touch to release a simulation racing game, due to the fact that the PS3 has the Gran Turismo franchise, while the Xbox 360 has Forza Motorsport, as well as Project Gotham Racing.  With that said, Ferrari Challenge has entered the mix with the pedal to the medal, and tries its best to speed to the front of the pack.

This game, as expected is all about the Ferrari cars, as you will be driving a variety of different types of cars such as the Ferrari F430, the Ferrari F50, FXX, and more.

The game plays out well like a driving simulation, as there was clearly a lot of work done to make sure the game controlled well.  The highlight for me was the phenomenal physics engine that was used in the game.  You can feel just how powerful these cars, are and the game will provide a rush to car fans.

The game is headed up by the main Challenge mode, which will have you racing through the Ferrari Challenge championship series.  Each race is pretty lengthy, and will have you playing a series of events to try and progress to win it all.

There are 16 international circuits for you t choose from, with downloadable content to come according to the publisher.  There is plenty here, as you can even have Ferrari cars and cards that you can trade online.

The 16-player online races are great fun as well if you get into the whole Ferrari thing.

Ferrari Challenge is a well-done racing game on the PS3, as the visuals are very strong, the audio is well-done, and the game plays nicely.

If you are a racing fan, this is definitely something I would recommend that you check out, for the simple fact that it really is an enjoyable experience, just for a short period of time.

Graphics: 8.0 A very good-locking racing game with great fluidity, detail, etc.

Audio: 7.5 Sound effects are great, but the racing music was a turn-off.

Gameplay: 7.5 Very impressed with the controls, as the game is strong in this regard.

Replay Value: 7.0 The online play is good fun, and there are enough events to keep you racing for awhile.

Final Score: 7.5
