There are always arguments as to why a first-person shooter is better to be played on a PC versus a console.  At the same time, there are also arguments looking at it from the other perspective.  SplitFish has come out with a products that tries to combine the best of both worlds with the SplitFish FragFX V.2 controller.

The SplitFish FragFX controller is, in my opinion, the best way to play a first-person shooter on the Sony PlayStation 3.

What it basically allows you to do is use an enhanced mouse and keyboard set-up on any PS3 FPS.

The way in which it is all set up is you basically get a mouse, as well as this grip controller that will replace your keyboard in the classic set-up.

This hooks up to your PS3 through a USB connection, and also comes supplied with a very nice mouse pad.

Once you start to use the mouse you will immediately get the hang as to how it all works, as there are the four PS buttons on there as well which are conveniently placed so that you can access them with your thumb.

The other half of the controller, the stick aspect, reminded me a lot of the Nunchuk for the Nintendo Wii as it comes with an analog joystick, bumper buttons, a D-Pad, etc.

This is going to take a while to get used to I will not life, but once you do get used to it it is a blast to play FPS with this set-up.

You have the ability to change the sensitivity, and SIXAXIS support is retained with the stick as well.

After the learning curve expires and you really get the hang of what your doing, and what sensitivity setting should be at for each game, you are going to have a blast here with this one.

If you are a PS3 owner who absolutely loves FPS, you will get some enjoyment and a lot of value out of this for the $80 price tag, definitely worth the price despite the learning curve.
