The Tekken franchise has always been a staple for fighting fans, and to be honest, the name alone will help this one sell an immense amount of copies, but does Tekken 6 live up to the quality that these games have been know for all these years?

Needless to say, this is the best fighting game of the year in my honest opinion, as it packs an immense amount of fighters, some kick-ass gameplay, and loads of fun.

Tekken 6 really has it all, with tons of different environments to fight in, as well as a crazy number of fighters tacked in here.

Visuals have received a nice upgrade from past Tekken releases, with extremely fluid animations, character details, texture work, etc.

The way in which the environments work hand-in-hand with the highly-detailed character models is certainly something to be seen.

On top of the visuals, the gameplay here really steals the show as the game is something which can be enjoyed whether you are a novice or an expert to the fighting genre.

This is one accessible game from all fronts, as you can easily pick up a controller, jump right int oa fight, and feel like you know what you are doing.

The nice thing about this though is that once you get a hang of the combos and such, it will take a long time to truly master.

The cast of characters that you get to use here is impressive, with over 40 fighters tacked on here, including those who have a lot of history in the franchise, to some brand new faces. All in all the cast of characters will please old and new fans, with favorites such as Nina Williams and others still being featured heavily.

In regards to the game modes, the best thing here really is the standard Arcade Mode, as the gameplay is just do enjoyable that you will not want to stop playing through the head-to-head battles, whether it be against a friend in your house, online, or against the very intelligent computer AI.

The arcade mode here is as good of a port from the real arcade version as you are going to get, and it is a blast for any fighting fan.

The Scenario Mode is another enjoyable addition to the game, recapping events from the previous Tekken entries and throwing you into the next episode of the Tekken story.

The Scenario Mode is fun, but it almost feels tacked on when compared to the amazing quality of the Arcade Mode, as you feel more like you are button-mashing than actually playing a well-polished adventure mode.

Overall though the game modes here are plentiful enough that you are going to have a fantastic time with Tekken 6.

The Arcade Mode, head-to-head play online and offline, etc. is more than enough to keep any gamer going with all of the stuff you can experience with the various characters, combos, and more.

Tekken 6 is the best fighting game of the year hands-down, as Namco has gone above and beyond all expectations with this one, amazing stuff for fans of the fighting genre.

Graphics: 9.5 The game looks absolutely beautiful with the environments, character models, etc.

Sound: 8.5 The audio features a great musical soundtrack and sound effects that pack quite a punch.

Gameplay: 9.5 This is by far the highlight of the game, such a great conversion from the arcade with fantastic pick-up-and-play gameplay.

Replay Value: 9.0 Tons os stuff here to unlock, and plenty of fun to be had offline and online.
