Hollywood (dbTechno) – The Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is in a bit of trouble as actor Dennis Quaid has accused the hospital of giving his newborn twins a drug overdose and then trying to cover it up.
His newborn twins, a boy and a girl named Zoe Grace and Thomas Boone, were given a drug overdose of heparin blood thinner at the Los Angeles hospital, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center while in the neonatal unit.
Quaid and his wife Kimberly are now fighting back at the hospital and accusing them of trying to cover up the drug overdose. They stated that they were told by the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center that their son and daughter only received half of the overdose which they actually got put into their bodies.
The couple put out a statement saying “We find it outrageous and totally unacceptable that we are learning for the first time … exactly what transpired.”
“We were told by upper Cedars-Sinai administration that our children had received only one 10,000 unit dose of heparin when in fact they had received two 10,000 unit doses over an eight-hour period that we now know of.”
“The hospital’s lack of candor has left us with the uneasy feeling that we may have never known the whole story.”
A state investigation by the California Department of Public Health revealed this to Dennis Quaid and his wife.
A report has revealed mishandling of the drug which they put into the Quaid twins. The babies were said to be put in “immediate jeopardy” of “serious injury or death.”
