Boston (dbTechno) - A new study has found that second hand smoke can actually make the condition of cystic fibrosis worse for patients. Second hand smoke in the form of tobacco and such has proven to be very bad for the health of cystic fibrosis patients.
Researchers have stated that they looked at 812 people in their study. The average age of the people was at 19-years-old. Read more
ABC Autism Drama To Air Despite Protest By Doctors

Hollywood (dbTechno) - ABC has come out and stated that they will air the first episode of the debut show, Eli Stone, which places a link between autism and childhood vaccines. Doctors have protested the show and asked for it to be banned from going on the air.
ABC has stated that they are going to air the debut episode of Eli Stone, but with a disclaimer at the start which states right before the show starts that basically, the plot line is not true. They also give an address to a government web site where the data is shown to make no link between the two. Read more
FEMA Blamed For Manipulating Data On Formaldehyde In Trailers

Louisville (dbTechno) - Lawmakers have come out and stated that the Federal Emergency Management Agency is to blame for playing around with and changing scientific research which said of the danger of toxic gas in trailers which housed thousands of hurricane Katrina and Rita survivors.
Democratic leaders of a House science subcommittee stated that FEMA manipulated the scientific research to downplay the risk associated with the toxic gas in the trailers. Read more
Schwarzenegger’s California Health Care Bill Shot Down

7,000 Kids Rushed To U.S. Hospitals From Cough, Cold Medicines

Boston (dbTechno) - A new U.S. government study has stated that each year, 7,000 children under the age of 11 are rushed to the hospital and need to be hospitalized in emergency rooms due to them taking cough and cold medicines.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention conducted the study and stated that the majority of the kids who had to be rushed to the emergency room of a U.S. hospital were between the ages of 2 and 5. Two-thirds of the cases were in that age group, while one-fourth were under the age of 2. Read more

Bird Flu Death Toll Hits 100 In Indonesia

Jakarta (dbTechno) - The bird flu death toll in Indonesia has hit 100 after it has been confirmed that a 9-year-old boy and 20-year-old woman were both killed by the virus just outside of Jakarta, Indonesia.
The H5N1 bird flu virus has continued to hit Indonesia the hardest out of any other country in the world. Out of the 222 human deaths worldwide, Indonesia has 100 of them within their borders. Read more
