New York (dbTechno) – Wal-Mart has stated that they will open 200 in-store health clinics to provide medical services. They have plans to open up 200 of their Clinic at Wal-Mart health clinics.
This is a joint venture between Wal-Mart and hospitals in Dallas, Little Rock, and Atlanta.
The in-store health clinics at Wal-Mart will treat things such as colds, sunburn, bladder infections, and more.
Nurses and doctor’s assistants will be running the facilities.
Wal-Mart is leading the way with in-store health clinics, followed closely by locations such as Walgreen Company, Target, and CVS Corporation.
The estimates are that by December 2008, the number of in-store health clinics should almost double from 800 to 1,500.
Wal-Mart has plans to bring the number of in-store health clinics up to 400 by 2010.
They currently have 77 existing health-clinics.
