Clinton and Obama Continue to Debate Health Care
February 23, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Democratic presidential candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton continue to debate over health care and health insurance plans. The ideas of a universal health insurance system, and more were all brought up at a debate held between the two. The 2008 Presidential race is clearly heating up, and the war of words has just begun.
Obama stated in his most recent debate with Sen. Hillary Clinton that their plans for health insurance and health care are 95% similar.
Clinton took a clear shot at Obama’s health care plan though stating “You chose to put forth a health care plan that will leave out at least 15 million people. That’s a big difference.”
Clinton praised her universal health care plan, which is also supported by Senator John Edwards who dropped out of the presidential race not too long ago.
Obama fought back though stating “Senator Clinton believes the only way to achieve universal health care is to force everybody to purchase it. And my belief is, the reason that people don’t have it is not because they don’t want it but because they can’t afford it.”
Obama believes that health insurance should only be mandatory for U.S. children. They are the only people who should have to be forced to have health care he believes.
Clinton sees otherwise though, as she wants a universal health care system for all, so that every American has health insurance.
Obama stated “both of us seek to get universal health care, but I have a substantive difference with Senator Clinton on how to get there.”
And that difference is as apparent as ever as the war of words over health care continues as the race heads to Ohio and Texas on March 4th.

Neither Democrat’s plan is good: Clinton’s is quite a bit the worse of the two.
Can’t afford health care insurance? We’ll fine you. Don’t want to pay the fine?
What usually happens if you don’t pay a fine?
.
Sounds like Clinton is backing as insane a plan as we have in Massachusetts.
Where the poorest familys which already cannot afford to pay for insurance, are fined as much each year per child as as they would have paid for insurance if they could have afforded it. You only compound the injury.
You criminalize poverty.
You criminalize the impoverished parent.
If you want each child insured, then give each child an insurance policy. Iron clad, and gold bound like they ones you have senators. Just like the ones you have.
Exactly like the ones you have. Anything less is criminal greed.
You could afford to buy your own policy.
Can’t come up with the money for the children?
Then how the hell do you expect the poorest of parents to do it for you?
This policy is all code word language for lets make the insurance companies richer! What blood they don’t get, you will draw off as fines.
When we care as much about our children as we care about policing the world, we will bring their parents home and feed, house, insure, and educate the children.
It makes me sick at heart to witness the general unwillingness of the best off in our nation, to forgo further personal enrichment for the general good of all.
After a very narrow margin, additional wealth is only a status symbol and a power grab. What good is your power if you will not wield it as a champion. We have a screwed up sense of status in this country. The majority of those with status have been gifted with status they reserve for their own benefit and are spiritually incapable or weilding for the benefit of those who have empowered them. Stop the ego tripping. Only a major rewrite of reality will have any significant impact, when the state of affairs is so horribly muddled.
is CLinton in la la land? she got one thing to talk over and over about and that is her health care plan. I have a news for her. Her health care plan sucks. if peopel could effored it they would buy it no need her to tell them. She thinks epople don’t care about thier own kids? she thinks she caers more? so parents must buy insurance for their kids or what? if they can’t efford it then what?
I have an idea why don’t you give Chelesy’s insurance to AMerican kids? I beat it will cover at least 100 kids!!!!!
Obama is from poor for poor. He wants the health plan effordable for everyone. He knows what America is goign through. Sorry Miss Clinton you have never felt poverity have you? you lived most of your life in …..
We are Obama’s kids. Obama’s American kids. You know Senator Clinton keeps attacking him on almost personal level well it is such a shame. Her campaign has been all about negativity. Attacking Obama rather than talking about what we can and should do for America. opposite of her is Obama. He talks about what is good for America and American and his campaign is based on hope and positivist. I think to be honest with you she is desperate. Badly she knows she is going to lose this game of hers so she is trying to do whatever she can. Imagine how silly it was for her at her level and position she talks like high school kids. You copy people’s word she says!!!! Well tell me who is not coding or using some good lines. Like” don’t ask what your country did for you ask what you did for your country” everyone almost once in their life time has used this amazing strong saying. Dose that make them weak?? Plus I know at least 3 times during last year up to now she has used Obama’s words. Look at the way she runs her campaign. She spent 5 Million form her own pocket for it. Well talk about rich and campaign based on money!!!!
Question is dose America wants some rich full stomach that has never grow up in poverty runs their dreams? Is her dream the same as poor American people’s dream?
LAST BUT NOT LEAST. The whole word already respecting Obama for his brain and the respect and grace he has shown to all Clint’s trash (strongly but calmly and respectfully) that is sign of strength no matter what job you are running for.
