Orlando (dbTechno) – A new government report put out by the CDC has stated that 10% of U.S. adults did not get enough rest or sleep over the past month.
The report was put out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
They looked at data from the CDC’s Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System survey.
The survey was done with four states, Hawaii, New York, Rhode Island, and Delaware.
The surveys found that 10% of U.S. adults are not getting enough sleep or rest on daily basis over the course of the past month.
Lead author of the report, Lela R. McKnight-Eily stated “It’s important to better understand how sleep impacts people’s overall health and the need to take steps to improve the sufficiency of their sleep.”
The study also found that as people got older, they tend to sleep more, as a lack of sleep was seen in far fewer people over the age of 55, compared to those under.
