DEA Investigates Doctors Linked To Ledger’s Death
February 29, 2008
Boston (dbTechno) - The DEA is currently carrying out an investigation of two doctors, who have been linked to prescribing medications which led to the untimely death of Hollywood actor Heath Ledger. They are investigating the doctors and their practice of giving out prescriptions, not the actual death of Ledger.
The two doctors are from Texas and California according to reports from People magazine.
There is no word yet on what exactly the doctors did wrong when they gave out the prescriptions, but thoughts are that Ledger was not the only person they may have given drugs to for no good reason.
According to law enforcement sources the doctors supplied Heath Ledger with prescriptions for Oxycontin, and Vicodin, according to the New York Dailyi News. These were two of the six major drugs in his system at the time of his death.
They want to try and figure out if it was legal, the way in which the doctors prescribed the drugs.
The untimely death of Ledger came on January 22, 2008 in his New York City apartment.
Since then people have been asking questions in regards to the medicines that were found in his possession at the time of his death, as he had six major medications in his system when he died, which all compounded and ended up killing him.
Though this investigation is not into the actual death of Ledger, it could shed some light on the doctors who prescribed the medicines to Ledger, and most likely many others.
