Alfalfa Sprouts Recalled Due To Salmonella Contamination

Boston (dbTechno) - The California Department of Public Health has announced that tests conducted at two California Companies have revealed salmonella contamination in alfalfa sprouts. The foods have been recalled.
Consumers are being urged not to consume any alfalfa sprouts made from these two California companies. The two companies are Salad Cosmo USA Corp of Dixon, California, and J.J. Caldwell and Sons Inc, or Maywood, California.
Salmonella is very dangerous as it can cause fatal infections in young people, as well as old. Children and elderly people are at highest risk due to a weaker immune system.
Salad Cosmo USA Corp. has recalled all alfalfa sprouts which were sent out to retail stores. They are called Salad Cosmo Sprouts.
The other company recalled Always Fresh and Alfa Fresh, as well as Alfa One alfalfa sprouts sent out to retail stores in California.
Health officials are urging anyone who consumed the alfalfa sprouts to seek a doctor.
Symptoms include fever, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, and more.
