She had everything going for her, and a bright future ahead. She unfortunately had her life cut short though due to complications from her breast augmentation surgery.

The 18-year-old was all smiles leading into the surgery, as she had been accepted into the University of Florida, and was looking forward to life ahead.

She suffered a fatal reaction to anesthesia during the breast surgery though, causing her death.

She was going through surgery to try and fix asymmetrical breasts as well as an inverted areola.

A couple of hours into the surgery though she had to be rused to Delray Medical Center where she died. The surgery was performed by plastic surgeon Stephen Schuster at an outpatient facility.

The cause of death is believed to be a rare metabolic condition known as malignant hyperthermia.

This has caused many to take a look at breast augmentation procedures, their safety, and how many are performed each year.

A candlelight vigil was held on Sunday for Kuleba at the West Boca Raton High School.

Not really. Her death was caused by a reaction to the anesthesia she was given. It’s the same anesthesia should would have received had she gone in for any number of surgeries. It’s unfortunate, really, that the fact that she was having “cosmetic” or “breast augmentation” surgery has made all the headlines I’ve read, not “malignant hyperthermia”.
