Boston Beer Co. Announces Recall, Beer Bottles Contain Bits Of Glass

Boston Beer Co. has announced the recall of some of its beer due to defective bottles.  The bottles of beer are said to possibly contain small pieces of glass. The beer company stated that the recall is due to defective bottles which all came from the same bottle company.

This particular bottle company is responsible for 25% of their glass bottles.

Boston Beer stated that quality control at their Cincinnati brewery made the discovery.

The problems with glass in the bottles was confirmed on Friday.

Boston Beer Co. has stated that they have yet to receive any reports of injury from the recalled bottles.

The glass bits are apparently in less than 1% of the bottles coming from one manufacturing plant.

The bottles have the code N35 by OI at the bottom.

This is the first recall since Boston Beer Co. began in 1984.
