According to a new study from the University of Minnesota, girls are becoming far less interested in physical activity outside of their traditional organized sports.Washington (dbTechno) - According to a new study from the University of Minnesota, girls are becoming far less interested in physical activity outside of their traditional organized sports.

The study focused on girls and their participation in sports as well as other physical activity.

The rates of girls taking part in physical activity is far behind that of boys, due to things such as masculinity, femininity, among other aspects.

There is no secret though the great benefits which can be attained from physical activity, on a physical, psychological, and social level. Athletics girls were found to be more likely to do better academically, and less likely to drop out of school.

The study states that girls who take part in regular physical activity improve their health greatly.

Physical activity also cuts their risk of obesity and diabetes, among other disease.
