Ex-UCLA Hospital Worker Sold Celebrity Medical Records To Media

Hollywood (dbTechno) - A former UCLA Medical Center worker, 47-year old Lawanda Jackson, has been indicted for accessing the medical records of many celebrities, political figures, etc, and then selling those medical records to turn a profit.
Jackson has been charged with illegally obtaining individually identifiable health information for commerical advantage.
The federal indictment stated that Jackson was paid $4,600 from an unknown media outlet.
In exchange for the cash, Jackson provided the media outlet with the private medical information of a top celebrity.
The actual identities of the celebrities were not revealed. It is no secret though that the likes of Britney Spears, Tom Cruise, Dom DeLuise, Maria Shriver, Farrah Fawcett, and others.
Jackson originally stated in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that she was just being too “nosy.” She never stated that she was actually making money off of the information she obtained.
She stated to the Los Angeles Times last month “It wasn’t for money or anything. It was just looking.”
According to the indictment, she did more than look, and is now facing 10 years in prison.
