Kaiser Reinstates Health Insurance Policies For Patients
May 16, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - The state Department of Managed Health Care struck a deal with Kaiser Permanente to immediately reinstate the canceled health insurance policies of nearly 1,100 patients.
The patients all had their health insurance policies canceled between 2004 and 2006.
Kaiser how has the problem of first, covering all of the costs to get these health insurance policies back in place, as well as the fact that they have to contact all old members about these disputes.
They will be offering some members the option to purchase individual coverage from Kaiser as well, without medical review.
This followed a ruling back in April, where many major health insurance companies in California, including Kaiser, were told to reinstate the policies of patients.
Other health insurance companies which are in the same boat include Blue Shield, Anthem, and PacifiCare.
