Gov. Crist Signs Autism Bill Into Law In Florida

Orlando (dbTechno) – Florida Gov. Charlie Crist made history on Tuesday, signing a major autism bill into law.

The new bill guarantees health insurance coverage for young children who are suffering from autism.

The idea behind the health insurance coverage is to provide autism therapy to young children so that they can deal with their disorder and try to live a normal life.

One of the biggest supporters of this bill is former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino, whose son suffers from autism.

Marino’s son is now in college and is apparently doing very well.

The new autism bill will provide up to $36,000 per year, with the ceiling set at $200,000 in coverage.
