Greenpeace Says PS3, Wii, Xbox 360 All Contain Toxic Materials

They looked into these video game consoles to see if they met all of the regulations for hazardous materials.

They found that all three major gaming consoles are in compliance with the European Union’s regulations, but that they also contain toxic materials which could pose a health risk.

The chemicals found in the video game consoles include bromine, phthalates, and beryllium.

These chemicals are used in various types of situations, such as with plastics, fires, etc.

There is no immediate health risk to those who play the video game consoles or keep them in their home.

The biggest health risk comes when someone has to take the console apart for repair or something of that nature.

Greenpeace is hopeful that these gaming companies will be able to produce consoles which are more green.
