Roche’s Herceptin Found To Prolong Cancer Survival

Boston (dbTechno) - Roche Holding AG has come out and reported that Herceptin, when combined with chemotherapy actually helps prolong cancer survival for breast cancer patients by three months.
They compared the survival with Herceptin and chemotherapy to the survival with chemotherapy treatment alone.
Herceptin with chemotherapy prolonged breast cancer survival by 3-months with no progression.
Herceptin has been found to be quite effective in fighting cancer on many levels.
It was also found in a mid-stage trial to be effective against a progressed cancer when combined with another Roche drug pertuzumab.
This positive note can mean only good news for Roche as their stock has already showcased a huge jump since the announcement.
The data will be presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology meeting.
