Vitamin D can come from a variety of sources including sunlight exposure, vitamin supplements, and more.

Quite often, low levels of vitamin D have been linked to things such as cancer, fractures, problems with your immune system, cardiovascular disease, etc.

This new study hash linked low levels of vitamin D with an increased risk of death.

The study was carried out by Dr. Harald Dognig from the Medical University of Graz in Austria.

Vitamin D levels of nearly 3,300 patients were looked at. After 7 years, 737 patients died, 463 of them from cardiovascular disease.

They found that the death rate from any cause was higher among those with lower levels of vitamin D.

The study was published in the June 23 edition of the Archives of Internal Medicine.
