FDA Approves New 5 In 1 Vaccine For Children To Reduce Shots

Boston (dbTechno) - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved a new 5 in 1 vaccine for children which will help by greatly reducing the number of shots children need to go through.
As of now, a child in the U.S. needs to receive 23 shots within the first 18 months of his or her life.
These shots are all for vaccines needed for the kids.
This new vaccine though is a 5 in 1 injection, and is called Pentacel. It will help by reducing the number of shots needed by children.
The vaccine is manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur and has been approved for use in children between the ages of 6 weeks and 4 years old.
The vaccine protect children from influenza type B, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, as well as poliomyelitis.
Before approval, it was tested on 5,000 children and was reported to be extremely effective.
