Washington (dbTechno) – According to a new study released by Families USA called America’s Health-Care Crisis: Cities on the Front Lines, many cities across the U.S. are being hit with major health care problems.
The consumer group Families USA is a major supporter of providing health care for all Americans. For their study, they surveyed 13 cities in total to try and gauge health care services across the board.
What they found was that in many cities, the failure of the federal government to fix health care problems, has led to major issues for patients.
Many officials in the 13 cities across the U.S. have been pushing for health care reform to be a top priority for the next president, according to the Families USA study.
The cities included in the study were Providence, RI, San Francisco, Seattle, Tuscon, Arizona, Washington, Minneapolis, Newark, New Jersey, Columbus, Ohio, Charleston, South Carolina, Boston, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Houston, Texas, as well as Oakland, California.
The Families USA survey reported that with the rising health care costs, all 13 cities were struggling to provide health care for those in need, including city workers.
