West Nile Virus Detected In Massachusetts Mosquitoes

Washington (dbTechno) - The West Nile virus has been detected in Central Massachusetts as the virus was found in mosquitoes in the area.
State public health officials in Central Massachusetts are urging residents and officials to begin to take measures to avoid mosquitoes at all costs.
This comes after the West Nile virus was detected in Worcester, MA just a week ago.
This marks the first evidence of the West Nile virus in the state of Massachusetts this year.
The virus, which can lead to serious illness and even death, was quite a force last year.
Residents are being told to avoid mosquito bites at all costs, staying away from outdoor activities during peak mosquito hours, from dusk to dawn.
People are also being told to help reduce bites by wearing clothing to cover their skin,a nd to use insect repellent.
