Funeral Held For Woman Who Died Waiting 24-Hours In NY Hospital
July 7, 2008
New York (dbTechno) - A funeral was held on Sunday for Esmin Green, the woman who died after waiting nearly 24-hours in the emergency room of the Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.
Just last month, Green died after she collapsed to the floor of the emergency room in the hospital.
She was there waiting for a bed after being admitted to the hospital, and was completely ignored by staff and security for nearly 24-hours before she could not stand it any longer.
Surveillance tapes have revealed that Green’s body was flat on the floor for a full hour before anyone at the hospital checked her condition.
Green’s body was to be transported to Jamaica to be buried.
Following the incident, six employees from the Brooklyn hospital have been fired.
