USDA Will Reveal Grocery Stores Carrying Recalled Meat

Boston (dbTechno) - According to a new rule put in place, the USDA will begin to reveal to consumers which grocery stores are carrying recalled meat.
Just a few weeks after one of the largest E. coli outbreaks in history linked to beef, the government now apparently feels that knowledge could truly help the consumer.
The recall resulted in more than 143 million pounds of beef being recalled from a slaughterhouse in California.
The new rule will go into effect next month and will reveal to the public which grocery stores are carrying the tainted meat that has been recalled.
The USDA does not want to scare the public, but apparently the feeling is that the more they know, the better they can keep themselves protected and keep the outbreaks from spreading.
