Medpedia, Following Wikipedia Format, Focusing On Health
July 23, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - The Medpedia Project made the announcement today of the world’s largest collaborative online encyclopedia of medicine. It is called Medpedia, and is being considered the Wikipedia of medicine.
What Medpedia is going to allow is for medical schools, physicians, hospitals, etc to all take part in building this powerhouse of medical information.
The information will focus on health, medicine, as well as the body and will be a free public site which will launch at the end of 2008.
They have put up a preview site for the world to check out at Medpedia.com, and appears to be coming along nicely.
There are several health organizations working on The Medpedia Project, including Harvard Medical School, University of Michigan Medical School, as well as other groups.
