Cases Of West Nile Virus Confirmed In Los Angeles County

Los Angeles (dbTechno) - Four cases of the West Nile virus have been confirmed in Los Angeles County, marking the first cases of the disease this year.
Health officials stated on Thursday, according to The Mercury News, that three men and one boy have contracted the disease.
Two of the men, along with the younger boy had to be hospitalized, but are said to be recovering at this point.
The third man apparently was not showing any signs that he had contracted the virus at all.
It was picked up that he was infected with it when he went to donate blood, as the virus was found in his blood.
According to health officials, the four people are all from the eastern and southeastern sections of L.A. County.
There were 43 confirmed human cases of West Nile Virus in this county last year, with 5 deaths.
