Court Rules Against Push To Stop California Health Care Cuts

Hospitals, pharmacists, as well as doctors have been pushing to block the planned 10% California health care cut, but have been rejected by a state court.....Washington (dbTechno) – Hospitals, pharmacists, as well as doctors have been pushing to block the planned 10% California health care cut, but have been rejected by a state court.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge William Highberger ruled against the request to block the cuts on Wednesday.

Many groups filed a lawsuit against the state last May, stating that the cuts in both Medi-Cal and Denti-Cal programs are a dangerous move.

The groups believe that by putting the cuts into place, they will put the safety of many citizens of California at risk.

The cuts made to the California health care system will take money away from those trying to care for millions of people in California who are disabled, elderly, or poor.

The group of doctors, pharmacists and hospitals are considering an appeal to the ruling.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger approved the Medi-Cal cuts last February to try and cut the deficit.
