Turkish Hospital Under Fire, 27 Infants Die In Just Two-Weeks
August 6, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Health officials in Turkey are alarmed at the latest figures released, as 27 infants have died in the last two-weeks at the Dr. Zekal Tarik Burak Hospital.
Health officials in Turkey are shocked to say the very least, as expectant mothers are being told to go to different hospitals to seek treatment.
The hospital in question is located in Ankara, and has been under fire for putting pregnant women at an increased risk of having birth complications, resulting in infant deaths.
Many are blaming the staff at the hospital, as well as unhealthy conditions for the reason as to why 27 infants have died in two-weeks.
A government investigation is set to be carried out to look into the deaths and try to make sense of it all.
