High Doses Of Vitamin C Prove Effective In Fighting Cancer

According to new research, high doses of vitamin C can help people fight cancer, by reducing the size of cancerous tumors.....Washington (dbTechno) - According to new research, high doses of vitamin C can help people fight cancer, by reducing the size of cancerous tumors.

The National Institutes of Health researchers conducted a study on mice, to see if high doses of vitamin C had any impact on cancerous tumors.

What they found was that when the mice were injected with a high dose of vitamin C, their tumor growth reduced by 50%.

The vitamin C was able to help kill cancer cells, while leaving healthy cells unharmed.

This prevents the spread of the tumors, which confirms a major breakthrough in the fight against cancer.

Researchers have stated that the treatment is not ready for use just yet, as more research needs to be carried out to see which tumors it works best against, how effective it is in humans, etc.

With the success rate of the treatment so high in mice though, this could progress quickly.

The results have been published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
