A typical teen, according to the 13th annual survey, can get a pack of prescription drugs easier than beer.

It was carried out via telephone with 1,002 teens, and 312 parents this past spring.

The annuals urvey focuses on teenage drug abuse in the U.S., looking at tendencies, beliefs, etc.

What they found was that it is still easiest for teens to buy cigarettes, as well as marijuana.

Prescriptioin drugs are now getting easier as well though, with drugs such as OxyContin, Percocet, Vicodin, and Ritalin topping the list.

They are getting these drugs from their medicine cabinets at home, as well as from their friends.

Nearly 46% of the teens surveyed have stated that they hang out with their friends on school nights, and take part in using drugs and alcohol.

The scary aspect of that number is that only 14% of parents stated that they were even aware of it.

Though overall, teens use of illegal drugs is actually down, this has shown that things are easy for them if they want it.
