Journalist Leroy Sievers Dies Of Colon Cancer At Age 53

Boston (dbTechno) - Award-winning journalist Leroy Sievers died over the weekend at his home in Maryland after losing a fight with colon cancer. He was only 53-years old.
Sievers is a former executive producer of the ABC News show Nightline, and was also very well-known for his blog, as well as National Public Radio commentary.
He worked for ABC News, as well as CBS News for years, and was highly accomplished in his field.
He was one of the executive producers of Ted Koppel, and also worked with him as they oversaw the 2007 documentary, Our Children’s Children’s War.
Back in May 2007, he was also featured in a Living with Cancer special, which Koppel held.
Others he was featured with include Lance Armstrong, and Elizabeth Edwards.
He was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2006, as things took a turn to the negative side recently.
The cancer, over the summer, had spread to his brain, liver, lungs, etc. and took his life.
