September 3, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - The Department of Justice has managed to recover over $9.3 billion from drug and health care companies who tried to basically take money from the federal government.
The credit for the ruling can g to the whistle-blowers, who are going to receive a portion of the money recovered by the Department of Justice.
Whistle-blowers went ahead to push new cases to the courts, and will be receiving anywhere from 15% to 25% of the $9.3 billion recovered for their work.
This comes as many healthcare fraud cases begin to get exposed more and more.
