Study Finds No Evidence Linking Vaccine To Autism

September 5, 2008

A new study published by scientists from the U.S. and Ireland has found no evidence to support a link between vaccine exposure, and the development of autism, or gastrointestinal problems.Boston (dbTechno) - A new study published by scientists from the U.S. and Ireland has found no evidence to support a link between vaccine exposure, and the development of autism, or gastrointestinal problems.

The research was carried out by scientists from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health’s Center for Infection and Immunity, as well as scientists from the Massachusetts General Hospital, Trinity College Dublin, and the CDC.

For the study, researchers analyzed bowel tissues from 25 different children, all with both autism, and gastrointestinal problems.

They also looked over 13 kids with only gastrointestinal problems.

The data they obtained was analyzed in three different laboratories.

What they found was that the measles vaccine did not trigger any type of gastrointestinal problems, nor did it have any impact on the development of autism.

The study was published in the journal Public Library of Science.
