Stand Up To Cancer Special Proves To Be Huge Success

Washington (dbTechno) - The Stand Up To Cancer telethon which took place on Friday night has proven to be a huge success in terms of ratings, and how much money it took in.
Stand Up To Cancer aired on Friday night at the 8 p.m. time slot on ABC, NBC, as well as CBS.
The show unified the three networks, and ended up being the top-rated show for Friday.
The show averaged 10.3 million viewers during the hour-long broadcast.
The only two networks not to get involved in Stand Up To Cancer were Fox, as well as the CW.
The special featured the top anchors from all three networks, as well as many in the entertainment industry.
Stand Up To Cancer helped raise over $100 million which will go towards cancer research, and the development of new cancer therapies for patients.
The non-profit charity behind the event is the Entertainment Industry Foundation.
