Genentech Drug Rituxan Slows Progession Of Leukemia

Washington (dbTechno) - Genentech has come out and stated that their drug Rituxan was successful in slowing the progression of lymphocytic leukemia in a late-stage trial.
The late-stage trial treated the patients who all had relapses following chemotherapy.
Rituxan has been proven to be quite successful to this point in helping improve the survival rate of these patients suffering from thsi disease.
They found no progression of the disease when the drug was combined wi th chemotherapy.
This was part of the REACH study, which focused on 552 patients in total who were all treated for the disease in the past with no success.
Genentech now has to move forward to try to figure out when they want to try to get the drug approved by the FDA.
