The federal government issued their Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans for the first time in history last week.

The idea behind these guidelines is to try to keep Americans informed as to how much physical activity they need.

For kids, it is said that they need to get a full hour or more of physical activity each day.

This can come in the form of moderate to vigorous activity, through thing ssuch as riding a bike, running around, etc.

It is also recommended that kids get some strength training as well, such as sit-ups and push ups three days a week.

By taking part in exercise, it is said that kids can improve their body composition, bone health, and muscular fitness.

Adults are recommended to get two and a half hours each week.

Exercise has been proven to cut the risk of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, breast cancer, colon cancer, etc.
