The man from Texas went all the way to the Mayo Clinic to try and have his life saved.

There is a lot of controversy surrounding the case though as many do not believe the patient should be able to use the experimental drug.

The type of cancer he has is currently incurable, and is found in the bone marrow.

The cancer is called Myeloma, and could kill the man within a few days.

Doctors are trying to use the experimental drug Tysabri to give him a chance.

The company behind the drug Biogen has already told doctors it is not approved for this use

The man though wants to go forward with it anyways, despite known side effects.

The man, 62-year old Fred Baron from Texas, is hopeful he can pull through with the new drug.

The Mayo Clinic is allowed to prescribe the drug as part of their clinical trials.
