(Update) Current Smokers Are Highly Addicted To Nicotine

Washington (dbTechno) – According to a new study, current smokers are having a harder time quitting due to the fact that they are more highly addicted to nicotine,

The study was presented on Tuesday at the annual meeting of American College of Chest Physicians.

The study was led by Dr. David P. Sachs from the Palo Alto Center for Pulmonary DIsease Preventioni in California.  Researchers from the Set. Helena Hospital also helped out.

What they found was that the severity of nicotine dependence has increased by 12% from 1989 to 2006.

The percentage of people who are seen as highly nicotine dependent also increased by 32%.

This is an extremely high number which shows current smokers are more addicted than ever.

The study was done by looking at three studies from 1989 to 2006.

Researchers were not sure as to why nicotine dependence was so high, but this is the highest it has been in 15-years.

Those who are trying to quit smoking and are highly dependent on nicotine will have the hardest time overall.
