November 18, 2008

According to the latest reports, it apepars that seniors are going to have to expect to pay out more for their Medicare prescription drug plans in 2009...........Washington (dbTechno) - According to the latest reports, it appears that seniors are going to have to expect to pay out more for their Medicare prescription drug plans in 2009.

The non-profit Medicare Rights Center has released a series of statistics about the plans which are going to be rolled out in 2009.

Enrollment for these plans has already kicked off, or will kick off within the next week or so.

What the group found was that the 10 most common, largest Medicare plans will see premiums spike quite a bit.

These Medicare Part D plans are going to see premium increases by more than 30%.

It is also said that the premiums for the two largest plans are going to jump by over 60%.

This will make the Medicare premiums range anywhere from around $15 per month way up to $150 per month.

This has many seniors nervous as it is becoming more important than ever to pick the right Medicare plan for their health and their pockets.

With premiums going up though, some seniors fear they soon may not be able to afford Medicare.
