Wife Of Mitt Romney Has Surgery To Fight Breast Cancer

Washington (dbTechno) - Ann Romney, the wife of former Massachusetts governor and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, has gone through surgery to help fight the development of breast cancer.
Ann Romney went through surgery to have a pre-cancerous lump removed from her breast late last week.
The procedure was done on Friday and was precautionary to stop the future development of the disease.
She went to have an annual mammogram done a few weeks ago when it was discovered.
The Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Utah found the lump and decided to have it removed.
The lump itself was not cancerous as it was not invasive or anything of that nature.
Instead, Ann Romney was diagnosed with what is called Ductal Carcinoma in Situ.
Ann Romney put out a statement saying she was “fortunate to have caught this so early.”
She also stated, “it reminds us how important it is for women to have regular mammograms. As in all cases of cancer, early detection is critical.”

I am so happy that you went for mammogram & caught this in the early stage. As a woman who gratefully prevailed cancer twice- I know you will do what I for cancer,
and our auto-immune diseases. I strongly, feel that I was so fortunate…I am alive.
Although, the “chronic” auto -immune dieases are very difficult to deal with. I liken it to a terriost attack. You never know when our anti-bodies are going to turn on us..Sadly,
we know they will be back and just pray God gives us the grace to make our bodies strong enough that we will fight when they return. I hope to start a foundation to help people with
our problems. I applaud, you for speaking out & helping so many people.
Like you I was depressed, angry and still terrible scared. Although, I also know that God gives us only what we can handle, I guess he believes you and I and the millions of others…We stand up, stand together and help people to get the doctors, to educate & make people aware what these diseases do & what we would like to see ultimately done to make these chronic illnesses more manageable. I often have read that you tell people, “You must take care of ourselves…When, you are fatigue rest, and as we all know that stress is not a friend to our systems. Know, I applaud you as I do myself & everyone who is dealing with chronic illnesses…I have committed this next chapter in life will be setting up a foundation from the money I will be making from a book I am presently writing, “Looks Can Be Deceiving.” Ann, know you & your family are in my prayers…
