Relay For Life Events Help Kick Off The New Year 2009
January 4, 2009
Washington (dbTechno) - Relay for Life events are being held across the U.S. to help kick off the new year 2009.
Relay for Life is the largest fundraising walk in the world, with events taking place in countries on every end of the planet.
The American Cancer Society has an International Relay for Life Program to help teach other countries around the world how to conduct the events.
Currently, there are 19 other countries who work with the American Cancer Society outside of the U.S.
The Relay for Life began 25-years ago, making the year 2009 a very special one for the entire program to say the least.
One such big Relay for Life event coming up will take place on January 13th, marking the Howard County’s 2009 Relay for Life.
What started as a 24-hour walk a quarter-century ago has now turned into a movement that continues to raise money to help save lives.
