American Red Cross Needs Blood To Get Through Winter
January 5, 2009
Washington (dbTechno) - In order to get through the cold and rough winter months, the American Red Cross is in dire need of more blood donations. These donations are needed in order to help save lives of people who are sick all across the U.S.
It is always difficult for the American Red Cross to keep the blood supply up through the months of December and January.
Much is this is blamed on the fact that this is the time of year when bad storms usually hit, keeping people in their houses for longer periods of time.
On top of that, it is also the time of year where holidays take place, meaning people have less time to do things such as give blood.
The American Red Cross is feeling the pain as they have had to completely cancel many blood drives across the U.S. due to a lack of people coming out to help.
The hope is that the month of January and the new year 2009 will bring better luck as the blood shortage is going to mean that many lives of patients may be at risk.
Now is the time when the American Red Cross needs you the most, so if you can, go out and give some blood to help save a life!
